Love My Tapes Easter Style! (& coupon codes)

I am so glad Love My Tapes has an Etsy shop.  I was able to add a few more tapes to my collection that will be perfect for the upcoming holidays.

This set of 3 Fabric Tapes is the Haze collection.  I love the look and feel of fabric tapes.  This set is perfect for the Easter or Spring projects.

The Haze Fabric Tape Collection

Here is a look at my new Washi Tape.  I love anything with numbers on it!  The thin black numbered washi tape will be perfect for a project I am doing for school, but it will also work in my journals.   Of course stars are great year round but I plan to use this for my 4th of July Rosette banner.  The gold is fabulous for anything and everything.  Hearts are for some Valentine cards and treat bags.  The banner’s were too cute to pass up and the bunnies are on everything that I made this week!  Which one is your favorite?

Here are my new Washi Tapes. Spring, Valentines Day, School and 4th of July tapes.. ready for new projects.

I covered 2 paper mache eggs with fabric tape, and added a strip of it to my book page egg. The banners were topped off with some of the lace tape and bunny themed washi tape.

I covered these paper mache eggs with Love My Tapes bunny washi tape and fabric tapes. Some of the eggs are old text books with only one strip of washi tape and then I added a button.

These paper mache eggs were so easy to decorate with tape.. you can either just peel and stick or you can add some glue over and under the tape.  I love quick DIY projects and the kids do to!  I also added a touch of the bunny washi tape to a banner and my Easter book.

All of the tapes pictured are from Love My Tapes. You can purchase them from the new Etsy shop.

If you shop in January use promo code: janweb and get FREE shipping if you spend $25
If you shop in February use promo code: 2015LOVE and get 15% off a $25 order.. this code ends 2/20/2015

It’s Tuesday Morning~ Heidi Swapp Heart Album

Do you still have a Heidi Swapp mini album lying around? I am talking about the cute wood albums with either a heart or star cut out in the center. Well Tuesday Morning stores have a few in stock and I wanted to put one together to give you a few ideas.

First of all you can paint it, cover it with washi tape, spray it, stain it, cover it with paper or glitter, or leave it naked.. tons of easy ideas.

My finished album, on display at my Tuesday Morning.

I painted mine pool blue and added a few gold paint mini dots. I then added a few embellishments to the cover and ribbon to one ring.

booktuesda

Use your favorite scrapbook paper to create new pages inside. I used random embellishments from my stash to dress it up.

love

Cut some pages in half to create different size pages. I also used Heidi Swap photo flip books to make room for even more photos.

Tuesday Morning also sells stickers, tags, bling, and washi tape. Fill your book with all your favorite things.

Using these photo frames makes it easy to add photos later on.

Just a side view of my new album.

I took out the white pages that came inside the book and used left over scrapbook paper. I created pockets and new pages. This is the perfect book for adding left over materials to. If you have random goodies in your stash, throw them in this book. I used up tons of misc. embellishments, washi tape, journal cards, stickers, bling, and more. I didn’t over load the album with tons of layers since I want to add photos then add more goodies. If you live near a Tuesday Morning call to see if they have any of these books left. They had the solid wood albums, the heart & star albums at my location. This is also a great album to stock up on for Valentines day!

I bet you can think of many ways to decorate your album.

It’s Tuesday Morning! This & That

Ribbon, Glitter, & Burlap, oh my!

Have you been to Tuesday Morning lately?   If not it’s time to restock your craft room with the essentials.

I used so much of their glitter and ribbon over the Holidays.  I made several glitter filled ornaments, glitter snowflakes, and glitter trees.  You can get glitter paper or containers of glitter.  I prefer the fine glitter for my projects but they have a variety of glitter.

They also have a huge selection of ribbon.  Individual rolls were found in the Christmas area however you can find bulk bags from American Crafts in the scrapbooking department. They also have mini burlap bows which can complete any project.

Yes the product is usually a year or two older but you can find many of your favorite products. That’s why I find it a great place to restock on items I love to create with.
